Updated: January 9, 2008. Thank you for your interest in MATCH. The 2007-2008 cycle for MATCH is now closed and we are no longer accepting grant applications. We will be in touch with all current applications (donors and schools) once the final determinations have been made. Thank you for your understanding.
The Jewish Funders Network (JFN), Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education (PEJE) and a consortium of five philanthropists are delighted to announce MATCH 2007-8.
MATCH will provide a funding pool of $5 million to match $25,000-$100,000 gifts to Jewish day schools by donors who are making their first-ever gift to Jewish day school education. Donors who have previously made a gift to Jewish day school education may still participate if their current gift to a Jewish day school is at least five times greater than their largest previous gift.
Matching grants will be awarded at a rate of 50 cents to the dollar.
PLEASE NOTE: Matching funds will be awarded according to the order in which completed applications are submitted. Matching funds will only be available until applications for the entire $5 million have been submitted and approved.
Only grants paid after November 5, 2007 are eligible for matching funds.
Applications will be accepted online beginning 12:00 PM EST on November 5, 2007.
Applications will be accepted online until 5:00 PM EST January 9, 2008.
Approved donor gifts must be paid in full by May 1, 2008.
Please Note: Because matching funds will be awarded according to the order in which completed applications are submitted, submission of an application prior to the January 9th deadline does NOT guarantee matching funds.
MATCH is a Project of the Jewish Funders Network and the Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education. MATCH is funded by: Anonymous; The Gottesman Fund; Ingeborg and Ira Leon Rennert; Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation; The AVI CHAI Foundation.
